Custom Orthotics
What are they?
Custom Orthotics are shoe inserts designed to address your individual biomechanical needs and gait imbalances. Utilizing information from your clinical assessment, foam cast, or digital scan of your foot, I will work directly with industry leading technicians at Orthofy to manufacture these custom orthotics.
How is it made and how do they help?
My prescription orthotics are fabricated using a unique blend of materials in several thickness options. Whether made for a casual shoe, athletic shoe, dress shoe, skate, or sandal; these foot orthotics provide enough rigidity to support the feet, while offering the foot the right amount of flexibility to properly absorb forces on the ankles, knees, hip and spine. For optimum results, a custom orthotic should be worn on a daily basis. I will provide guidance on how to gradually increase wearing time for daily living & sports activity.
How do I know if I need a Custom Orthotic?
Since many mechanical conditions often arise from a biomechanical gait abnormality, Custom Orthotics may be prescribed in combination with treatments by me.
Symptoms of poor biomechanics may include:
- Localized Foot Pain
- Bunions
- Hammer Toes
- Arch Pain
- Heel Pain
- Knee Pain
- Hip Pain
- Low Back Pain
